I'm a bioinformatician and statistician specializing in (epi)genomic data analysis, algorithm development and data science. The majority of my projects pertain to fundamental research, but I did (and do) contribute to several translational biomedical research projects as well. I like open source software and reproducible analyses, and I try to incorporate these principles in my day-to-day work as much as possible. My alma mater is KU Leuven (Belgium), and I'm currently working at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg (Germany).
